To Configure the MapInfo Application in ProjectWise Explorer

  1. In ProjectWise Explorer, select Tools > Associations > Program.

    The Program Associations dialog opens.

  2. In the Select an association list, select User associations.
  3. In the Applications list, expand the "MapInfo" entry.

    If the MapInfo application is not listed, see the ProjectWise Administrator documentation for details about how to create an application.

  4. Right-click the Open action and select Add Association.

    The Associate Program with application 'MapInfo' dialog opens.

  5. Browse to the location of your "MapInfo.exe" file, select it, and click Open.
  6. Click OK in the Associate Program with application 'MapInfo' dialog.
    Tip: Ignore the Enable legacy Integration option in the Program Associations dialog. The value can either be Yes or No without altering the way MapInfo documents are opened from ProjectWise Explorer.
  7. Double-click Command Line Arguments and in the dialog that opens, enter the complete path to the "ProjectWiseMapInfoExtensionLoader.MBX" file and click OK.

    This file is located in the ProjectWise\Bin directory. For example: "C:\Program Files\Bentley\ProjectWise\bin\ProjectWiseMapInfoExtensionLoader.MBX"

  8. Click OK in the Program Associations dialog.

    The MapInfo application is now properly configured.
